Happy in the Rain

This card was created for the Design Team Call for Nutcrafters.  As you will probably have noticed from my blog I do have a thing for the Nutshell characters.  To enter for the design call you have to use a free Nutshells digi image. 

To create this card I used Image: Free Digi Image from Nutcrafters.  Stamps: Woodware Splish Splash Sploosh.  Card stock: White hammered, grey, silver.  Papers: My Mind's Eye Pretty Please Spring.  Inks: Memento London Fog.  Colourings: Copic markers Skin E000/E00/E11/R20.  Hair E29/E25/E31.  Umbrella brads BG49/YR14.  Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils.  Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four.  Cuttlebug Embossing folder Spots and Dots.  Sizzilits Decorative Strip Swirly.  Embellishments: Papermania shimmer dots.  Umbrella brads. 

Hints and Tips
Choose your background paper first then colour your image in to co ordinate with the paper.

Super Boy

This card was created for the Nutty Nutshells Challenge.  It is challenge #22 Free Choice.  This gave me a great excuse the use the stamps I had just won from the Nutty Nutshells Challenge #21 Anything but a card. 

To create this card I used Stamps: The Greetings Farm Amazing Duo.  Dovecraft Clear Stamps Sentiments.  Card stock: White hammered, blue, yellow glittered.  Papers: Red, blue, yellow.  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, London Fog.  Color Box pigment Silver.  Colourings: Copic markers Skin E000/E00/E11.  Hair C3/C5/C7/C9.  Sakura gel pen Stardust 712/744.  The clothes where paper pieced.  Dies: Sizzlits Decorative Strip City Scape.  Punches: Woodward circle.  Embellishments: Heat it Up Silver Tinsel embossing powder.

Hints and Tips
I daubed a small amount of grey ink on the moon to give it more dimension.

It's Raining again!

This card was created for Bunny Zoe's Crafts, challenge #3 Vintage.  As you know I am not a lover of vintage styles this is why I keep having ago.  I thought this stamp Papermania Nostalgia Rainy Day was perfect for this challenge. 

To create this card I used Stamps: Papermania Nostalgia Rainy Day, Umbrella.  Card stock: White hammered, orange.  Papers: My Mind's Eye Pretty Please Spring Paper.  Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa.  Colourings: Copic markers Skin E00/E00.  Hair E59.  Coat YR14/YR12.  Brolly, puddle C00/C-1/C-3.  Sakura gel pen Glaze 800.  Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four.  Embellishments: Dovecraft copper ribbon.  Papermania Adhesive stones.  Umbrella brad.


Hints and Tips
I have stamped the image in brown ink to give it a more vintage look.

Ahoy There!

This card was created for the Totally Tilda Challenge, challenge #2 Make a shaped card (no squares, rectangles or easel cards).  I decided to make something totally different I have made a boat shaped  card that you could use for a pirate party invitation. 

To create this card I used Stamps: Magnolia Tilda with a Jolly Roger Flag.  Card stock: White hammered, brown, black.  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black.  Colourings: Copic markers E000/E00/E11/R20.  Hair E35/YR23/Y23.  Clothing and Flag C1/C3/C5/C7/C9/V09.  Dies: Sizzix Original Large Sailboat.


Hints and Tips
This card could also be used as a table decoration for a pirate themed birthday party.

Back to School

This card was created for Stampin' for the Weekend, the challenge is #44 Back to School. 

I was going to colour Tilda in with Copic markers but I decided to use my Derewent Inktense watercolour pencils for a change.  To create this card I used Stamps: Magnolia Tilda with Slate.  Card stock: White hammered, black, red, red glittered.  Papers: DP DCWV Grade School.  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black.  Colourings: Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils.  Sakura gel pens Glaze 800.  Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Small Deckled Rectangles.  Sizzix Sizzlits Apple.  Embellishments: Anita's yellow ribbon.


Hints and Tips
Tilda's shoes where water coloured, then I coloured over them with a clear glaze pen to make them look shiny.  You don't need all the coloured glaze pens you can just buy a clear one and colour over your coloured image.

Under the Waves

This card was created for the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog.  It is Week 67 the Special Monthly Challenge is ACETATE.  I also entered this card for the One Stop Craft Challenge Challenge 92 Summer Fun.  I had to sit and think about this one because I wanted to do something a bit different with the acetate so I chose to emboss it then colour it in.

To create this card I used Stamps: Magnolia Surf Tilda, Rain Cloud.  Card stock: White hammered, blue, purple.  Co-ordinations brown.  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Cottage Ivy.  Colourings: Skin E000/E00/E11/R20.  Hair C3/C5/C7/C9.  Clothing and Board RV04/RV06/V09/BV04/BV08.  Sakura gel pens Glaze 820/838.  Whispers permanent pen blue.  Dies: Sizzix waves embossing folder.  Fiskars tearing ruler.  Embellishments: Stickles baby blue.  Papermania mini brads.

Hints and Tips
You need to use permanent makers to colour acetate.

Summer Wedding

This card was created for the Sir Stampalot Challenge,  August Challenge Bring on the Bling.  I don't need an excuse to use bling I love everything shiny.  I also entered the card for the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog, Week 66 Bev's Sketch and Craftalious Challenges,  Challenge #5 Make your own flowers.

To create this card I used Stamps: Magnolia Loving Bridal Couple.  Card stock: White hammered, pink.  Papers: DP Papermania Summer Blooms.  Pink, silver.  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black.  Colourings: Copic markers Skin E000/E00/E11/R20.  Hair E29/E25/E31.  Clothing and flowers C1/RV13/YG63/YG67.  Papermania blue shimmer chalk.  Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large.  Punches: Woodware flowers.  X-Cut snowflake, hearts border. stamen.  Embellishments: Deco Art Glamour Dust Crystal.  Papermania adhesive stones, brads.

Hints and Tips
I used a light shade of grey when colouring the wedding clothes to give them a bit more dimension.

Lets have a picnic

I have been lucky enough to be chosen as Guest Designer for the Die Cut Dreams Challenge. Challenge #59 Gingham.  The minute I hear the word gingham I think tablecloths and picnics.  I decided to use the gingham for the background and the main image.

To create this card I used Stamps: Kars Ollyfant Easter Time.  Card stock: White hammered, green.  Papers: DP Doodlebug Designs Inc. Easter assorted.  White spotty vellum, green, yellow.  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black.  Colourings: Copic markers Skin E000/E00/E11/R20.  Hair E35/YR23/Y23/E29/E25/E31.  Wood E29/E25/E53.  Blanket B23/B24.  Dress Y06/Y08.  Apple R24/R27.  Leaf and Grass G40/G82.  Papermania shimmer chalks.  Punches: Tonic Studio multi flower. X-Cut flowers. stamen.  Woodware grass.  Embellishments: Brads.  Papermania adhesive stones.  The boy and girl where stamped using a masking technique, they where then paper pieced.

Hints and Tips
If you make a mistake when chalking the background behind your images you can just remove the chalk using an ordinary eraser.  To set the chalk spray with a cheap hair spray.
